DuluxGroup: Collaborative and Customer Focused

Carly Cummings, Distribution Manager ANZ for Selleys, Yates, & Parchem within DuluxGroup, says that she loves DuluxGroup's culture - which is fun, collaborative and customer focused. “I love that every single person in DuluxGroup is focused on servicing customers to the highest possible standard, from producing high-quality products, to the world class service delivery that we offer,” says Carly.

“We put our customers at the heart of everything we do.  For instance, if we’re trying to resolve a logistical issue, we look at what is best for our customers first and work back from there to find a solution,” she says. Carly joined DuluxGroup in January 2020 as Distribution Optimisation Manager. She moved into the role of Selleys, Yates and Parchem Distribution Manager for Australia and New Zealand, in December 2020. Carly currently oversees four distribution centres across Australia and New Zealand which service the national requirements of the three business units she works with.

Carly says while she hasn’t been with DuluxGroup all that long, she plans to stay with the company well into the future.  “I really enjoy working for DuluxGroup – it’s a fantastic company with an amazing culture.  There’s never a dull day.” Prior to joining DuluxGroup, Carly spent over a decade working for a multinational logistics and supply chain business.  She spent five of those years working in the company’s international branch, based in Asia, overseeing the IT and Supply Chain Solutions divisions spanning India, China, and South East Asia.

During that time, she also obtained an Executive Master of Science in Intermodal Transportation from the University of Denver, Colorado. She earned this postgraduate qualification while living and working in Singapore, flying to Colorado for six one-week long residencies over an 18-month period. Carly also worked in Bangkok for a couple of years during her time in Asia. She misses the street food and terrific Thai sense of humour. Carly has a Bachelor of Business in Transport and Logistics Management from RMIT University, Melbourne.
